Field Trips

Field Trips For 2nd Grade and Up

The museum features model airplanes, photographs, airline uniforms and other memorabilia. Through our many windows that look out onto the runways at LAX, students can watch airplanes take off and land as they listen to the air traffic controllers in the tower. They can also watch a film about the history of  Los Angeles World Airports.

Guided tours of the Museum & Learning Center are available by appointment, Thursdays at 10 AM, lasting approximately 90 minutes. The number of students is strictly limited by fire department regulations. You will be given a maximum number when making a reservation. Please make a note of it. Admission and parking are free.

There are several local parks as well as Dockweiller State Beach within minutes of the museum where students may enjoy a picnic style lunch and the fresh air. At Dockweiller Beach students can also watch the aircraft flying overhead as they depart LAX.
